Cook Up A Little Fun

Silly Putty

1/2 cup liquid starch
1/2 cup Elmer's White Glue (not school or washable glue!)

Mix well, store in refrigerator. 
May color with food coloring if desired.

Puffy Paint

1/2 cup shaving cream
1/2 cup glue
1 Tb. liquid paint

Mix together -dries puffy.

Bubble Soap 
  
1 cup water
1/3 cup liquid dish soap (Dawn works best)
2 Tablespoons glycerin

Play Dough

1 cup flour
1 cup water
1/4 cup salt
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
Few drops food coloring of choice

Mix all ingredients in mixing bowl.
Wear rubble or plastic gloves to
mix to avoid staining hands. Wrap
tightly in plastic wrap and store in
refrigerator.

Finger Paint

1 cup flour
1cup cold water
3 cups cold water
food coloring

Mix flour and 1 cup cold water in large sauce pan. Stir until smooth. Add 3 cups cold water. Cook over medium heat and stir until thick and bubbly.  Divide into three heat resistant bowls. Tint with food coloring. Cover and cool

Bath Paints

1 cup liquid body wash or shampoo
1/2 cup washable liquid tempera paint

Mix & Play

Colored Sand

Mix a 1/2 cup play sand with 10-12 drops food coloring and mix well. Make microwave for 1-2 minutes or let air-dry. Store in air-tight container. (Note: You may substitute table salt for sand if desired)
